    Masonic High Twelve Club to meet

    The Greater Ocala Masonic High Twelve Club 665 will hold its regular monthly meeting on Friday May 28, at 11 a.m. at the Elks Club, 702 N.E. 25th Ave.

    The group will welcome the state officers of the organization. It should be interesting to see what the officers have in mind for the improvement of the state Masonic High Twelve Club. This will be the last meeting until September.

    There will be a buffet lunch for $12 per person.

    Share food order pickup for Ocala West United Methodist Church will be on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 9330 S.W. 105th St. You may also be able to place orders for June. Additional sign-up days will be on Saturday, June 5 and Wednesday, June 9.

    Congregation Beth Israel of Ocala will hold a Shabbat evening service on May 14 at 8 p.m. at the Collins Resource Center, Building 300 at TimberRidge, State Road 200 in Ocala. Dale Berman Garfinkel, accompanied by Raoul Garfinkel, will lead the service. Joyful music and congregational participation will be featured. An Oneg Shabbat will follow the service.     Enjoy a night of Latin flare during the Latin American Festival at the Circle Square Commons Town Square on Saturday, May 8 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come celebrate the sounds, tastes and zest of Latin America with live music by Grupo Salsarengue, Latin American food, dancing and traditional Latin dance performances.     The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Marion County is holding a used book sale this Saturday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in front of Winn Dixie at 8445 S.W. State Road 200 in Friendship Center (next to On Top of the World Communities).

    Paperbacks and hardcovers range from only 25 cents to one dollar each.

    Corned beef, cabbage dinner set

    The Episcopal Church of the Advent, 11251 S.W. State Road 484, Dunnellon (1.3 miles west of State Road 200) will have its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner on Saturday, March 20. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 6:45.

    Our menu consists of corned beef, cabbage, boiled potato, carrots, bread, desserts and beverages.

    The public is invited. Donations of $8 per adults and $4 for children 6 through 12, under 6 are free.

The service will by led by Sonia Peterson and it will be conducted according to the Reconstructionist format. The service will feature joyous singing and congregational participation.     Pine Run yard sale

    Pine Run Estates on State Road 200 across from Kingsland Plaza and the South Marion Citizen will be having its community yard sale this Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. More than 40 vendors have signed up for this event selling everything from clothing, shoes, handbags, household items, garden, wind chimes, electronics, baked goods and much, much more.

    Refreshments will be available for purchase at the Clubhouse.
