What’s the hurry with health care bill?

-A A +A
By Robert E. Beckner

It seems like we hear 24 hours a day of the importance of getting the administration’s National Health Care bill passed immediately. But there is no one bill yet to decide and no real figures have been given out by the government as to costs. They just deny it will cost Americans some $1.6 trillion as stated by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

They don’t tell you if the bill passes tomorrow, it would not even go into effect until 2010. So, what’s the rush? The rush is because the president’s approval rating is now below 50 percent and falling fast and he needs to retain some popularity. The more the public finds what’s in the bill, the firmer opposition will grow.

So let’s take a look at who is on the Team Obama Care: i.e.: Sanger, Ginsburg and Holdren. Individuals such as these are the ones overseeing and are the backbone of it. First to be said there is no constitutional authority or precedent for this massive government intrusion into the private sector. However, with leftists, when do they look to authority higher than themselves and no one challenges them? After all, the president did promise a “fundamental transformation” of the U.S.

He has undermined free enterprise by nationalizing major financial banks, Wall Street and insurance companies and manufacturer sectors (our auto industries) of our country, so to achieve his goal of total control of all Americans’ freedoms to decide our insurance, doctors, hospitals and treatments, which is total control of our bodies, why not add health control?

In an interview last week in the New York Times magazine, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, “there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” This elected no follow-up from the interviewer and was made in the context of Medicaid funding for abortion.

This fits in with the left advocacy for abortions as a means for controlling propagation of undesirable ethnic groups based upon the writings of atheist social activist and leftist icon Margaret Sanger. Ms. Sanger founded the American Birth Control League years ago which later became “Planned Parenthood,” now the largest perpetuator of abortions in the U.S.

Ms. Sanger stated on numerous occasions words that shock the conscience when she talks about controlling and diminishing the spread of misery and destitution, and all those menacing evils are the signs our civilization has bred.

This is brought out because it all ties in with the government’s health care plan. Everyone wants to know how we can cover up to 50 million more people, when actually the president is simply destroying Medicare. How can all these new people be covered when two things come up? Who and how is it all going to be paid for? No one wants to pay for it, not national businesses, not the unions, so the only answer appears to be to raise taxes – which the administration won’t admit. Also, we don’t have sufficient doctors and nurses to care for all the new sick. One answer the government is reluctant to admit is that it will have to ration health care, with the government deciding who will get the hip and knee replacements, heart by-pass surgery and other medical treatments. Rationing means the elderly will be denied health care that they now get under Medicare or Medicaid. This is how they intend to reduce costs. It puts a Federal Health Board between the elderly and their doctors. This board will even instruct public and private insurance companies on what procedures are to be approved at what cost and for what patients.

Apparently, the formers of this health care program remember what former Colorado Governor Dick Lam once said, “The elderly have a duty to die.” So we have mentioned two of the TeamObamaCare, Ginsburg and Sanger; now let’s go to the third one – the worse one because he’s the head of Obama’s White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, also the co-chair of Obama’s Council of Advisers on Science and Technology. He is clearly an advocate of mass sterilization and abortion in order to control human impact on the environment. Holdren’s modern day eugenics, the science of improving offspring, is outlined in a book he co-authored, “EcoScience,” with population control extremists Paul and Anne Ehrich. This calls for a “Comprehensive Planetary Regime in order to control the development, administration, conservation and distribution of all natural resources.” He writes it has been concluded that compulsory population control laws even including laws, requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crisis becomes sufficiently severe to endanger the society. Also, if some individuals, by over- producing children can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility. Sounds like China’s one child per family law? It appears Holdren is Obama’s “Czar of Compelling Needs.” He goes on, The Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits, such as a global analogue of police force. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization. He must mean the United Nations!

All this brings up the question that, given Holdren’s musings about population control and Sanger’s comments and even those of a Supreme Court Judge, should these kinds of people really be in charge of determining who receives what medical care? If they had their way, no medical care!
