Bahia Oaks host two-day sale

The Bahia Oaks Homeowners Association is planning a community yard sale on Nov. 4 and 5, 8 a.m to 3 p.m.
Bahia Oaks is on State Road 200.

Saturday, Nov. 5

Marion Landing fall sale

The Marion Landing fall sale will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. to noon in the Lifestyle Center. Previously known as the bazaar, the sale is open to the public and will feature items such as jewelry, books, linens, tools, baked goods, and various household items. Chess Club to meet

The chess club that formed at the Freedom Public Library meets the first Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Grab your board and chess pieces and come on down.
Interested persons are invited to attend for a rousing game of chess.

Main library book sale

The Friends of the Ocala Library will hold their quarterly book sale on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Rooms B and C of the main library on Silver Springs Boulevard. A wide range of tenderly treated books will be on sale – hardcovers for 50 cents, and paperbacks for 25 cents. Proceeds from this sale, in addition to those from the Friends’ Book Market in the foyer of the library, benefit the main library in aid for unfunded programs. Peripheral Neuropathy group meets

The next meeting of the Ocala Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will be on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10 a. m. at the Marion County Sheriff Brian Litz Building, 9048 S.W. State Road 200. Everyone is interested is invited to attend. For information call Jack at 352-861-1630.

Flea market in Dunnellon

The Altar and Rosary Society of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will be holding its annual flea market on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Father Stegeman hall, at the corner of U.S. Highway 41 and State Road 40 in Dunnellon.
Hundred of items will be for sale including the famous boutique table. Plan to attend this community event.

Yoga class at Sholom Park

The Falls of Ocala, near West Port High School off Southwest 80th Avenue will host its community-wide sale on Nov. 5 beginning at 8 a.m.

Saddle Oak Craft Fair

The annual Craft Fair for the Saddle Oak Club community is Saturday, Nov. 5, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Coffee and donuts will be served from 8 to 10 a.m., with soup and sandwiches offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saddle Oak Club is across from the Heathbrook Publix on State Road 200.

SummerGlen hosts garage sale

The SummerGlen Country Club will host its fifth annual community-wide garage sale on Nov 5, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The gatekeeper will hand maps of the 75 plus households participating in the sale. SummerGlen is at 1450 S.W. 154th St. Road.

Mega book sale scheduled

A mega book sale to benefit Sheltering Hands Rescue will be Sunday, Nov. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Winn-Dixie, 8445 S.W. State Road 200, Ocala. There will be used books, CDs, videos and crafts.

German American picnic

The German American Club of Marion County will host a picnic on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Coehadjoe Park (4225 N.E. 35th St., Ocala), from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 per member and $8 per non-member. Buffet meal includes bratwurst, Polish sausage, hamburgers, dessert, coffee and soda. Please bring your own snacks and a covered dish to share. Attire is casual. Concert at St. Jude

Everyone is invited to attend a concert, “The Best of Broadway” at St. Jude Catholic Community, 443 Marion Oaks Drive in Marion Oaks, on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. Maestro Bill Doherty and members of the Central Florida Lyric Opera, as well as members of the St. Jude choirs, will present a program of well-known and loved songs from Broadway shows. The RNR November  outing will be "An Afternoon at Sumter Landing in The Villages."

Marine Corps Birthday Ball

The Marine Corps League, Ocala West Detachment, announces its annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball will be held, as tradition dictates, on Nov. 10 this year.
   The event will be held at the Palm Grove Club in Oak Run, beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Dress is semi-formal, tickets are $25 per person.  Dinner, music By George, and dancing are included.
   You need not be a veteran U.S. Marine to attend the celebration.
