Theatre Students showcase talent

The Marion County Center for the Arts at West Port High School will present Lucille Fletcher’s one-act thriller, Sorry, Wrong Number, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. The play will be followed by a showcase of monologues, scenes, and musical theatre performances by students in the school’s Thespian troupe. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. The West Port High School Performing Arts Center is at 3733 SW 80th Ave. in Ocala.

The Marion County Center for the Arts is a visual and performing arts magnet program at West Port High School offering a four-year course of study featuring a broad range of programs in both the performing and visual arts. These include acting, chorus, dance, electronic music, instrumental music, piano keyboarding, technical theatre, two and three-dimensional art, photography, and digital media.
