Quilt Club warms two charities

-A A +A
By Nancy Archer

The Quilt Club raffles at the Cherrywood Craft Show will make the holidays brighter for two local charities. The quilt drawing produced $246 for the food pantry at Interfaith Emergency Services.

The raffle table of quilted items made it possible to send $113 to Sheltering Arms.

Democratic Club

The Cherrywood Democrats will welcome County Commissioner Barbara Fitos to the Nov. 21 meeting. She is committed to balanced, responsible growth management that preserves our environment, economic development, and quality of life and will take questions from the audience.

Our men and women in far off lands would certainly appreciate canned goods, candy, soap and shampoo, DVDs, etc. Give Geri whatever you wish to send and she will contact the SOS ladies to arrange for shipping.

The Cherrywood Democratic Club meets monthly on the third Friday at 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse. For more information, call Harriet Scarpino at 873-9955. Refreshments will be served.
