By Eloise Hollyfield
An important anniversary, dinner and dance, the return of the Life South Blood Mobile, and other news constitutes this week’s OTOW Happenings.

Lions Club
The OTOW Lions Club will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on May 8, at the Hilton Hotel.
In addition to the celebratory dinner, several members plan to entertain their fellow members in song and dance.

Life South Blood Mobile
Top of the World residents can help bring renewed life for those needing blood by visiting the LIFE SOUTH bloodmobile on Monday, May 7!
The red, white and blue bloodmobile will be the Health and Recreation parking lot from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 7.
Please drop by, roll up a sleeve, sit a spell...no fuss-no mess, and you’ll leave with a small thank-you gift from Life South and a smile on your face knowing how much you have helped others!
A special thank-you goes out to those 30 people who gave a pint in March, for their time and generous nature.

Bowling League
Just when bowling looked as great as it could get, bowling got even better.  This month, Art Buecher bowled a 216, a 234 and a 235.
He also bowled a 573 series and a 631 series. Rick D’Addio bowled a 241 and a 222; his high series was a fantastic 647.  Bill Hull also had a great 622 series.
Among the women, Hedy Schamal bowled a 242 and a 589 series.  Other 500 plus series for the women were: Barbara Reynolds, 529; Georgie Maguire, 520; Helen Bailey, 516 and 511; and Linda McIntyre at 508.
The Snowbirds have clinched first place with a week to go.
Osima and the Better B’s gave them a run for the money!
Our banquet, with a great selection of food and lots of prize money to be awarded, is fast approaching.
