Lifestyle Center redecoration is on schedule

By Rog Patterson

With the Lifestyle Center’s great room looking a glorious mess like it is, Joe Raffony tells me that we can be confident redecoration appearances can only get better … lots better! You’ll read his update when your monthly Communicator newsletter arrives today. Meanwhile, Bill Wurst and Deeann Welch agree the contractor’s workmanship is both right up to spec and right on schedule.

Warm days means volleyball

This hot weather certainly has put our volleyball fans in the pool. You’ll find ‘em splashing away any afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. and on Friday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at the west end of our Lifestyle Center pool. Give it a try; there always seems to be room for one or two more. And everyone who returns those out-of-bounds foul shots gets a rousing cheer.

Still bowling and…!

During our unusual “warm spell,” many residents have found the Marion Landing Bowling Center as great place to keep cool, as long as they don’t get too many 7-10 splits.

And, while we may not have use of the Lifestyle Center for a while longer, there’s still those water exercise classes, bocce, billiards, pickle ball, shuffleboard and tennis to keep the joints limber and attitudes youthful, all listed on the back of your monthly Communicator calendar.

If you sneeze too hard you can fracture a rib. If you try to suppress a sneeze you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die. If you keep your eyes open by force they can pop out.

And if you absolutely must try sneezing with your eyes open, please don’t tell me about it … call 911.
