Two people were arrested on DUI charges after incidents on local roads

Lydia Martin, 45, of Southwest 57th Court Road, was accused of DUI after she was stopped when the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a woman acting “loud and disorderly” and getting into a car with a juvenile on 60th Avenue at State Road 200.

After she allegedly failed the field sobriety test, she was taken to jail where her breath scores were .416, .388 and .390, about five times the legal limit.

The juvenile was released to a neighbor.

Octobio Becerra Jr., 26, of Northwest Highway 225, was accused of DUI and no valid driver’s license after he was stopped for making an illegal u-turn on State Road 40 in the 5900 block. His breath results were .191 and .189.

A woman was accused of aggravated assault with a knife after an incident at The Centers in which she demanded that a specific counselor speak to her. Deputies had to tasered her twice to make her drop the knife.
