Car burglary suspects arrested

Between Feb. 10 and March 17, numerous car burglaries occurred in the Westwind Trails and Saddle Oak neighborhoods. Detective Ed Mobley of the Southwest District Office began investigating the incidents and obtained several leads.

An undercover surveillance operation was initiated for a period of time, watching the suspects.

On March 17, the investigation came to a close after Deputy Joe Tussey caught one of the suspects committing a theft in progress at Family Dollar on State Road 200 and Southwest 60th Avenue. The suspects were taken to the district office where Mobley revealed that he was aware of their involvement in the recent burglaries and thefts off GPS units, cameras, stereo equipment and cash valued in excess of $2,330. Both suspects allegedly gave full confessions and indicated that they had sold the items to various people.

Mobley is trying to recover the property as well as identify the persons who may have purchased the stolen items.

Arrested were Victor Andrew Rocchi, 18, and Terry Lynn Stolle, 20, on 21 felony charges and six misdemeanor charges. Each was booked into the jail under $28,000 bond. As of Wednesday morning, both were still listed as being in the County Jail.

3 Jose Sixto Guevarra, 25, of Southwest 33rd Avenue, Ocala, was accused of DUI and driving while license suspended or revoked after he was stopped for failure to stay in a single lane on State Road 40 on March 18. He failed a field sobriety test and registered .155 and .145 blood alcohol content. He was convicted of DUI on Jan. 16 of this year and is currently on DUI probation, according to the report, which also stated he had a violation of probation warrant. He was also convicted on Jan. 16 of driving while license was suspended or revoked. Bond was set at $15,000 and he was still in custody as of Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records.

3 Donald Edward Watson, 51, of Maitland, was accused of DUI after being stopped on March 20 on State Road 2000 in the 6500 block eastbound for tailgating and failing to stay in a single lane. At the jail, he refused to supply a breath sample. According to jail records, he was released the same day on $500 bond.
