Landlord accused of attack on tenant

An Ohio man who is a landlord to a tenant on Southwest 151st Place was accused of aggravated battery after an incident at his house.

According to the report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Terry Lee Johnston, 26, of Winchester, Ohio, was admitted to the house by someone else to retrieve some items. He reportedly went into the bedroom where the male victim was sleeping and an altercation occurred.

The victim went to a neighbor’s house and called for help. The arresting officer said Johnston admitted to the altercation, and he was arrested.

In another incident, an Ocala man was accused of retail petit theft and was issued a trespass warning after an incident at Walmart on State Road 200.

Thomas John Waguespack, 56, of West Silver Springs Boulevard, was allegedly observed by a loss prevention officer as he took a package of bathroom tissue, then took several packages of meat and put the package of tissue over them. He also allegedly placed large bags of dog food and bird seed in his cart.

He was stopped by the officer and was found in ossession of five packs of chuck roll meat, two packages of beef roll meat, two packages of pork chops, four packages of chicken wings, eight packages of spare rib meats and two packages of oxtail meats, with a value of

$264.45. Also taken were one package of dog food, one package of bird food and the bathroom tissue, with a value of $28.27.

The suspect was then arrested and taken to jail.
