Bocce on a roll with Landing ladies

The popularity of bocce among Marion Landing women has prompted four sessions each week. Monday mornings at 9:30 has Lorraine Rusch as captain and at 1 p.m. captained by Eleanor Christiano; also on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. with captain Carol Mock and again Wednesdays at 1p.m. with Pat Wurst as captain.

Captains help keep score, settle questions about rules and fill in as players whenever needed. There are some 44 ladies who are into bocce more for fun than competition, but they do roll some serious rounds during the annual Marion Landing Senior Games.

The Marion Landing bocce courts were rebuilt and re-surfaced with all-weather carpeting some years ago. All facilities are continually upgraded and lane surfaces are replaced regularly.

Our Marion Landing Web site, hosted by the Marion Landing Computer Club, has arranged for a new “Neighborhood Album” page to share your photos. Any subject you think might interest, amuse or amaze your neighbors will be considered.

It’s available to all Marion Landing residents and the rules are simple. Click on to www.marionlanding.org and help fill it up with some of your photos.
