    A Veterans Day ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The Cherrywood Color Guard will present the colors.
    Fun in the Sun games start at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11.
    If you don’t have your team together there may still be time.
    Your team will compete in bocce, putting, horseshoes and shuffleboard. See Geri or Rich Hurley for more information.
    Also, the Veterans Club Grill Master will be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers and bratworst for a donation.

    Veterans Day Memorial Service, a fundraiser, and sports mark this week’s OTOW Happenings.

    OTOW Lions Club
    The OTOW Lions Club will hold its Veterans Day Memorial Service on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. at the flagpole in front of the Health and Recreation Building. Please come out to show your respect as we remember all of our veterans who have given so much for our country!

    With the holidays just around the corner, Oak Runners will be able to come and do their seasonal shopping at Palm Grove on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have gifts for everyone on your list including drawings, water colors, painted glass, jewelry, all kinds of quilted goods, wood art and much, much more. There will also be beautiful home decorations to give your home that holiday spirit. Snacks and light lunches will also be available.

    Entertainment and travel mark this week’s OTOW Happenings.

    OTOW Theatre Group
    Just one more week and the musical show of the year will be presented in the H&R Ballroom! This event occurs on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12, at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available at $8 for reserved seating and $6 for general seating.

  • Palm Cay news 10-28-2011

    The day came... and after much planning and preparation it could not have gone any better.
    Some of the “Palm Cay Anglers” left Friday, a day before the fishing event, and stayed the night in Daytona with friends and family. And then some of us got up early and met at 4 a.m. (yes I said 4 a.m.) on a Saturday morning at the Oasis and set the GPS for Ponce Inlet, Florida.
