  • New Chamber makes debut

    On May 10, Tuesday night, the MainStreetChamber in Marion County launched its first MainStreetChamber Marion event to the businesses in Marion County and surrounding areas.

    The lobby of the Holiday Inn Conference Center off Rt. 200 near the I-75 was flooded with business owners waiting for the doors to open.  Many came as early as 4:00 pm waiting with anticipation to find out more about this new Chamber that has come to our area.

  • Save a lot store nears completion

    A new Save a lot grocery store is scheduled for a Feb. 3 opening, according to information provided by a spokesman for the company.
    The store will employ 20-25 people.
    The grocery store will be at Steeplechase Plaza, in the long-empty old Publix site.
