    Augustus J. Kimley Jr. 80, of Ocala, passed away at Munroe Regional Medical Center on April 26, 2012.
     

  • Richard T. Wolf, 98

    Richard T. Wolf, 98, of Ocala, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Sylvia’s Hospice House. He was born in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Oct. 23, 1913 to parents, Harry and Carrie (Stengel) Wolf.
    Richard owned large egg farms in both Trumbull and Monroe, Conn. After retirement, he moved to Ocala where he loved bowling and golfing. He was also a member of the Elks Club and enjoyed being an usher at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.

  • Ralph E. McNeely, 73

    Ralph E. McNeely, 73, of Ocala, passed away at Legacy House on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He was born in Greenville, SC and was a retired Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army.
    He loved to play golf and bowl.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; daughter, Michelle; brothers, Al and Tom, as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Ralph was much loved and will be greatly missed by those who survive him.

    Dorothy L. Overly, 91, of Ocala, passed away at Munroe Regional Medical Center on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Jan. 10, 1921 to parents, Lee and Evelyn (Whitney) Riley.
    She was an accomplished seamstress and also loved needlepoint. Dorothy moved to Ocala from Marietta, Ga., in 1985 and was a founding member of Countryside Presbyterian Church.

  • Edward McCormick, 79

    Edward “Mac” McCormick, 79, of Ocala, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at Timber Ridge Rehab Center.
    He was a U.S. Navy Master Chief. He served 31 years in the Navy. Then 10 years in civil service as a harbor pilot. He loved to travel and tell sea stories.
    He was born in Appomattox, Va., where he lived to age 18 then started his adventure to see the world.
    He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers

  • Adelaide L. Viscardi, 82

    Adelaide L. Viscardi, 82, of Oak Run, died Christmas morning, Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011 at home. Her husband Dominick was present. She had been living with Alzheimers/Dementia for five and a half years. She fell and fractured her left leg in three bones below her knee on the 15th of June and was in rehab till the 6th of September.
    Her surviving son and wife reside in Barstow, Calif. Her granddaughter, Megan and two great-grandchildren, Devyn 16, and Sierra 10, reside in Costa Mesa, Calif.

    Betty Jane Smith Eckerdt, 71, of Ocala, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011. She was born in Phillips Town, Ala.
    She has lived in Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky and moved to Ocala in 2000. She was an avid golfer and loved volunteering at the VFW.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, father, son, Everett, and sister, Elizabeth Haskew.

  • George Houston Overman, 89

    George Houston Overman, 89, of Ocala, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 in Ocala. He was born on June 13, 1922 in Marion, Ind., the son of the late George P. and Louise (Houston) Overman.
    He attended Purdue and Indiana Universities before serving in WWII in the United States Army Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias and a faithful member of the Sons of The American Revolution (SAR). The Overman family operated a Poultry Business in Marion, Indiana for many years. George retired from General Motors in 1987 and moved to Ocala in 1990.

  • Albert W. Stotz, 86

    Albert W. (Bill) Stotz  passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at Legacy House in Ocala. Bill was born in Buffalo, N.Y., August 28, 1924. He served in WW II as T/Sgt for Squadron B 4126th Base Unit (Area Command) from September, 1943 to October, 1945.

  • Edward R. Horvath, 79

    Mr. Edward R. Horvath, 79, of Ocala, died at his residence on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011.
    Ed was born in Passaic, N.J. on Nov. 7, 1931. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served during the Korean War. Ed was a master plumber and retired from Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, N.J. as the plumbing construction foreman. He moved to Florida 17 years ago and then to OTOW Indigo East 5 years ago.
