Sunday, Sept. 11 starts the regular church season with worship services returning to 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday evening worship service continues at 6:45 p.m. as does the German Language Worship service on the first Sunday of each month at 3 p.m. The vocal and hand bell choirs will begin again in the month of September.
September 11 is Rally Sunday when all the various ministries and educational programs share their informational materials which will be available in the church narthex.
The chess club that formed at the Freedom Public Library meets the first Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Grab your board and chess pieces and come on down.
Interested persons are invited to attend for a rousing game of chess.

St. Jude Catholic Community is sponsoring another bus trip to the Hard Rock Café and Casino in Tampa on Saturday, Aug. 20. Tickets are $30 per person. Each person gets $25 returned for free play and a $5 food voucher. Christ's Church of Marion County presents Jimmy Strickland, Southern Gospel recording artist, in a night of "Pure Southern Gospel Music." Jimmy has performed on stage with well-known recording artists Bill Gather, Dottie Rambo, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Goodman Family and a host of others.
