Spruce Creek Preserve

-A A +A
By Deej Koebbe

Just down the road apiece Preservist Lois Hill, vice-chairperson of the Open House Committee, submitted the following for inclusion in this week’s Preserve column in the South Marion Citizen:

The Open House Committee recently held an “open house” for area Realtors. Twenty Realtors participated in the event. There was a delightful and delicious assortment of food and refreshment served.

The program began with Chairperson Jean Bildsten delivering a welcome statement and introducing the committee members and our HOA Board of Directors. Sue Reed, the computer director, explained the listing format.

Sue also mentioned the Spruce Creek Preserve HOA Web site and e-mail address. Nancy Anderson, the committee secretary, discussed the visitation made to homeowners who list their homes with the Open House program.

Also displaying the Open House sign and distributing the packets of information the homeowner receives. The “Open House Sunday” format was explained, including handouts of information.

Bob Liotta, an HOA board member, gave an outstanding PowerPoint presentation detailing the community’s financial position, current status and outlook, followed by a question-and-answer period.

The visiting Realtors were given a tour of the Community Center, new additions and outdoor amenities by the committee members. At closing, the invitees were encouraged to tour the neighborhood.

Many thanks to Steve, Ray, Julie, Bob Liotta and the committee members for a very successful and enjoyable presentation. Special “kudos” to Sue Reed for this wonderful idea. Thanks Lois, good job!
