Scale models parked in display case

-A A +A
By Carol Jones

A fine exhibit of replica tanks and trucks, planes and racecars by members of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS) is on display this month. You can almost hear the rumble of the little motorcycles by Carol Caputo and Paul White.

And how about the Super Modified asphalt racer? This little gem was completely rebuilt by Mark Box from a 50-cent garage sale find.

If you have an interest in joining the model-making group or would like more information, call Joe Caputo at 629-7929 or Tony Ivone at 237-6259.

Seminar Tonight

It matters little whether you are 16 or 60, if there are “wants” in your life this free seminar can show you the steps toward achieving your goals. At 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 13 – that’s tonight – join the group in the library meeting room for Tony DeLiso’s power-filled presentation, The Steven Steps in Goal Setting and Problem Solving.

Refreshments will be served in the lobby. Oh, and while you’re there, take a moment to complete a survey form letting the Friends know what kinds of programs you would like. Drop it in the box provided, and your request will be considered.

Free Flags

After the seminar on Friday night, remember to come back on Saturday for your free American flag. The Woodmen of the World will distribute souvenir-size flags to the first 400 patrons to visit the library on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14.
