New trips are being scheduled

Brand New Trips for the summer, fall, and winter are here and booking fast:

Flyers are available for these trips at the Clubhouse on the travel rack. You must call Nancy at 352-861-1432 to get the rates and reserve your seat. Remember you do not need to live in Cherrywood to go on our trips. Just call Nancy to sign up.

Luncheon Train, Friday, Aug. 27: Come enjoy a two-hour Murder Mystery Luncheon train ride aboard the Star

Clipper out of Eustis. Includes bus, two-hour murder mystery train ride, complete lunch, all taxes and gratuities.

Mystery Day Trip, Wednesday, Sept. 8 and Friday, Oct. 29: Can’t tell you what we’re doing or where we are going. Includes lunch, bus, tax and tip and much more. Always fun!! Book early, mystery trips always sell out quickly.

Word of Life Gospel Productions, Sights and Sounds of Christmas, Wednesday, Dec. 8: Come enjoy this Broadway-Style show for the holidays at the Word of Life Performing Arts Center in Hudson. First Baptist Church Orlando, Singing Christmas Trees, Saturday, Dec. 11: This show sells out every year. The cost includes great reserved seats for the 3 p.m. show followed by a 5:30 p.m. lavish dinner buffet right there at the church hall, all taxes and tips. Last year’s show was excellent as well as the food. Don’t miss it this year. Non refundable payment due by Aug. 15.

Singles dinner

All singles in Cherrywood are invited. We meet in the Cherrywood lot at 4:30 p.m. and carpool from there. The following is the schedule for dinners in the month of June:

Pool tournament

The 3rd Annual Norm Pellerin 9-Ball Tournament is scheduled to be played beginning July 26. This event is opened to all Cherrywood residents. So chalk-up pool players and sign up for this event. Entrants must register by July 19th. There is a sign up sheet in pool room. See Geri at the Clubhouse for more information.

Accordion Club

The Accordion Club meets the fourth Wednesday of the Month. Next meeting is June 23, 5:30 to 9 p.m. Call Dick Richards at 352-208-5245 for more information

Plan on attending to either play the accordion or just enjoy the music.

Democratic Club

The Cherrywood Democratic Club will have an open meeting on June 18 at 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse card room. All Cherrywood residents are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

The club meets on the third Friday of each month at 2 p.m. Harriet Scarpino, 352-873-9955, is the president.
