An Ocala woman was arrested Jan. 21 and accused of taking a big screen television from her residence. The TV allegedly belonged to her ex-roommate’s fiancé.

Jody L. Hiers, 30, of Northeast 12th Terrace, was accused of taking the TV from a residence on Southwest 117th Lane Road, a rental house that is being foreclosed, forcing everyone to move.

The television, with an estimated value of $1,400, was reportedly taken to the home of the suspect’s mother, who made arrangements to return it to the victim.

Hiers was released on $2,000 bond.

A Dunnellon man was arrested and accused of occupied burglary and resisting without violence after he went to a home on Southwest 63rd Lane Road and entered the home of his former girlfriend, who was with her boyfriend.

Carl Julius Fraziars, 29, of Southwest 106th Lane allegedly ran from deputies who reported to the residence. He eventually contacted the Sheriff’s Office and agreed to meet with deputies. He was jailed and released less than four hours later on $5,400 bond.

Able Hernandez, 25, of Southwest 10th Street, was charged with DUI, open container violation and no valid driver’s license after being stopped for failing to stay in a single lane at the intersection of Southwest 80th Avenue and West State Road 40. After failing the field sobriety test, he was arrested and gave a breath sample, which came back at .103 and .104.
