Nettie Jane Davis,

71, of Ocala

Nettie Jane Davis, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Hospice Legacy House in Ocala. She was born in Wilmore, Ky. and moved to Ocala in 1963 from Lexington, Ky. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by Travis, her husband of 50 years; son, Travis M. Davis Jr.; daughters, Kathy Davis, Roxanna Simpson, Wanda Robinson, Roetta Coller, and Theresa Vega all of Ocala; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at First Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Marion County in memory of Nettie Jane Davis.

Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West was in charge of arrangements.

George Bagnall,

82, of Ocala

George Bagnall, 82, of Ocala, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at Hospice Legacy House. He was born in Point Pleasant, N.J.,  and lived here since 1990. Mr. Bagnall was a mason in the construction industry. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jeanne; a son, George A. Bagnall, Jr., of Sparta, Tenn.; a daughter, LuAnn LeVance of Bayville, N.J.; a brother, James Bagnall of Whiting, N.J.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Richard Woodacre,

88, of Ocala

Richard Woodacre, 88, of Ocala, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at Hospice Legacy House. He was born in New Bedford, Mass., and lived here since 2003, coming from Waterbury, Conn.

He retired as a production manager with Scovill Manufacturing after 30 years service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Woodacre was a life member of Angela Santos VFW Post 4781. He enjoyed Big Band music, sailing, golfing and investing.

Survivors include a son, Craig Woodacre of Ocala; a daughter, Robin Matthews and son-in-law, Jim Matthews, both of Manchester, Conn.; three granddaughters, Cristina Piller of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., Lisa Woodacre of Ocala, and Aylene Matthews of Manchester, Conn.; and a great-grandchild, Tristan Woodacre of Ocala.

A memorial service with military honors was at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, TimberRidge Chapel on Friday, Dec. 19. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, TimberRidge Chapel.

Mary Ann Housenger,

83, of Ocala

Mary Ann Housenger, 83, of Ocala, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Hospice Legacy House. She was born in Batavia, N.Y. and lived here for 22 years.

She was a parochial teacher and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; three daughters, Katie Ryan of Wilmington, Del., Julie Ann DiMarzio of Venice Beach, and Mary Urban of Altamont, N.Y.; two sons, Raymond C. Schmeh of Elmhurst, Ill., and Robert Schmeh of Port Townsend, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.
